Observations

We live in a society. Indians are fine with you talking about your digestive issues, but white people get icked out by it. Meanwhile, white people are okay with you talking about your anxiety but Indians get icked out by it. If you're an anxious diasporoid with IBS, it's just over for you. You will never be fully accepted by anyone. No postcolonial scholar will ever write about this, but it's true.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the concepts of civility and intimacy and how they are the opposites of each other. Civility, or politeness, is when someone talks to you like they're customer service. If you actually want to be their friend, this can be truly heartbreaking. Intimacy requires going beyond these social rituals. Here is a thing I found online. Basically, it is a conversational depth scale. Most interactions you have will be at a 1 or 2. These can quickly get draining though. I will admit, it can be slightly uncomfortable if someone gets to 5 the first time they meet me. But people should start at a 4. There is no need to softlaunch yourself to me. Just go all in. I want to be friends with a person, not an NPC.

Lack of yapping and intellectual intimacy will have u lonely and languishing even while being surrounded by tons of friends and having a hot partner.

Anyway, those are my observations about loneliness, yapping, and intimacy. I will now switch to talking about Pop Mart. Call me a consoomer. Say that I am a cringe capitalist for supporting consoomerism, but these go hard as fuck:

These are literally so beautiful I'm crying. I wish I could be an artist who gets to design these. I loveee them. My good fren Andy got me a Skull Panda, and my ex got me a labubu. But I wanna collect more of these kinds of things. They are just too good. The last time I was a consoomer, it was for oracle cards and tarot cards. I still want those and I wanna collect Pop Mart figurine thingies too. I already collect dolls, including Disney dolls, but I gotta collect more. And I collect books, of course.

Someday I will have to own property. It is too hard to be a traveling nomad when you have oracle card decks, skull pandas, and penguin classics that you want to take with you. I am a consoomer. I will consoom.

LITERALLY LOOK AT THIS. A CORN LABUBU. THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.

Also unrelated, but I got tea at Itsu today and the cup was literally beautiful. God bless whoever decided to put cute trad anime boys on the Itsu cups.

Random updates: I'm reading Augustine's Confessions!!! I will let you know what I think when I'm done.
