Happy belated all hallows' eve/Samhain/halloween and also dia de los muertos/day of the dead

"I'm glad that Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year." ~ Anton LaVey, Founder of the Church of Satan

If you had a good time dressing up in costumes and getting candy yesterday, please remember to credit the Celtics.

If it weren't for them, you wouldn't have all that candy. You know why?! because they invented the holiday!! duh!! They originally called the holiday 'Samhain'.

Also, if you're celebrating day of the dead, you should know that it originates from Samhain too even though it's different from 'halloween'.

For Laveyan Satanists:

All Hallows' eve is also a very important day for Laveyan Satanists and devil worshippers. If you follow this blog then you probably remember my long post about Anton Szandor Lavey, right? Well, that's what made the quote I put at the beginning of the post significant.

Ok, that's all!! I just wanted to let you know what this holiday is all about.

Also, my next post will be about the Celtics

Saddest book I've ever read. I don't know why so many of the other reviews seem to hate the protagonist Tess or are saying she should have known better about Alec. In my opinion, she is an amazing character. She was the most mature, resp...

The writing style evoked a lot of emotion. Joseph Boyden was just really good at putting himself in someone else's shoes. That's the only way I can think to describe it. The book is based on the true story of Chanie Wenjack, who died try...

it was amazing

My favourite Shakespeare play so far (I'm going to read all 37 of them eventually). I felt like it wasn't violent enough for a "revenge tragedy" though.

The Boy Who Played Tiger

really liked it

An amazing children's book set in a small village in Myanmar. Very entertaining to read. I highly recommend this to parents who want reading suggestions for their children as I think it's a good idea to start reading about other cultures...
