If it weren't for them, you wouldn't have all that candy. You know why?! because they invented the holiday!! duh!! They originally called the holiday 'Samhain'. 

Also, if you're celebrating day of the dead, you should know that it originates from Samhain too even though it's different from 'halloween'.

All Hallows' eve is also a very important day for Laveyan Satanists and devil worshippers. If you follow this blog then you probably remember my long post about Anton Szandor Lavey, right? Well, that's what made the quote I put at the beginning of the post significant.
