Playing mobile games that are cute and are meant for kids is something that I do for stress relief. Idk why, but it kinda helps. Since exams are coming up for me, I'm trying to maintain my mental health or I will get really depressed. I'm sticking to a good study schedule that allows for breaks. One thing I like doing during my breaks is play neko atsume.
The idea is simple. You put items and food in your yard and they attract cats. When the cats come, you can take pictures of them. They will leave you some fish that you can use to buy more items. The game gets more fun when you start attracting rare cats and they start leaving you mementos, or gifts. Here is a rare cat I attracted. This chonker ate some sashimi that I left out:
I have some tips for you in case you are new to the game:
- Start off with cheap items but make sure all the slots in your yard are full.
- Only use the thrifty bits food at first, as it is free. Refill it often.
- Go to the "news" tab and look at the daily password. You can click this to enter it for some extra fish or gold fish. If you do this 5 days in a row, you will be rewarded with premium food. I really wanted a sashimi boat which I got for free this way.
- Save up gold fish to buy the cat metropolis as early on in the game as you can. This will allow 6 cats on it at once and generate a lot of revenue for you. The cardboard choo choo allows 4 cats, so that's also something you may consider getting.
- You can use this revenue to save up for a yard expansion.
- Use the Neko atsume wiki for tips on how to attract rare cats.
- The coolest rare care is Hermeowne, which you can attract using the egg bed night view object. If she visits a lot of times, eventually she will leave you a memento which is a magic potion that can be activated to make cats appear in an empty yard. The other mementos in the game dont do anything and are just collectible items.
- If you want to hack the game, make sure your food is at full capacity and then change your phone's date. This will give you your daily revenue from your cat's faster. This also kind of ruins the fun of the game though.

Please recommend mobile games to me! I'm obsessed with them. Recommend games that have to do with dress up, room design, cute animals, cute anime characters, etc. So far I play a lot of Lunime games like Gacha club and Gacha Life and I also play Toca World and Pastel Friends/Pastel Girl.
