I am done my ISP

After months of procrastination, I am done!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

It is going to be presented by me on June 9th.

I'm really excited to present. I just have to write a bibliography and rehearse it and I'll be ready. We got it assigned to us on February 26th!! We got waaaaaaaaaaaaay more time than Gwaebee's class. Gwaebee is doing hers on witchcraft. I bet her interactive activity is to go on a witch hunt and burn their faces off.

Some other topics that people have chosen are: human evolution(cool), meditation, music therapy, animal cruelty, hockey( -_- ), invasive species, hygiene (wwhhhy??!?!?), Greek mythology (omg there's more to ancient Greece than its mythology and more to mythology than ancient Greek mythology. why'd you pick this?!), weapons (how nice), dreams (no one understands those :P) and mantis shrimps!!!!

Gwaebee's class had no time limit. Damon had a 2 hour presentation.

We have a time limit though -_- 25-30 minutes :'( I'm sure mine is going to surpass that. Mine is probably 40-45 minutes long X.x

The only other time we got to do these was grade 4 but back then it wasn't as flexible and we couldn't just pick anything we wanted. It had to be an ancient civilization, culture, or god. That's SO AWESOME still though. Would you believe me if I said I didn't do the Mexica back then?! 'cause I'm such a non-conformist that I don't do what others do and some person was already doing them :( so in grade 4 I did it on the Yoruba people. (no one in the class knew who they were. ha!!)

I decided to keep my topic a secret until now.

Ok this year for my ISP I'm doing this thing on white supremacy. I guess its an original/interesting topic but all the topics were so good this year.

its a depressing topic though.

My Life right now

I feel like I haven't updated in such a long time. So I'm going to do that :P 

My feelings/the weather

The good news is that I don't feel all sad and guilty and lazy and depressed for no reason anymore. That's probably because the weather is getting warmer and sunnier. The snow hasn't completely melted yet, but its an improvement and the weather really influences my mood so right now I'm happy. Yay!! It feels good to be happy

School stuff

I'm also extremely happy because I haven't been getting as much homework as I usually do. Of course, there's still the pressure of the ISP and a bunch of other long term projects and shiz, but it's relatively better. 

Oh yes, there are some very very very very very very AWESOME things happening in school. First of all, later this month are the slam poetry finals. I got in because I passed the semi-finals so I'm going :D I have a good feeling about this. I'm sure my school will win. I'm entering with this very bad poem that I wrote that some how got into the finals I don't know why because its terrible: http://1drv.ms/1kAeKhQ 

Lol it doesn't even have a title. If you have time to waste on reading the poem then please waste it and help me think of a title :P 

The second awesome thing is that in May the Red Maplers are going to the Red Maple award ceremony. 

Do you know how EPIC that is?! I sure hope I'll get to go. Most likely I will though. I was a voter after all. I voted for the book 'Loki's wolves'. If I go then I'll get to see a lot  of fantastic authors like Eric Walters & Deborah Ellis. The authors are all very famous and Canadian :-P . 

So in case you don't know, Red maple book club is where you read at least 5 of the selected 10 books (I read 6. trying to read all 10.) and then you vote for your favorite book and then you find out which book won @ the awards. 

The reason why I voted for Loki's wolves is because it's about a bunch of children who are trying to stop the end of the world and it has an ancient culture connection to the Vikings so it talks about Norse mythology. That's awesome X-D . 

I love books like that :-P .

For those of you that have read Loki's wolves, can you believe that my friend actually SHIPS Matthew and Laurie?!?!?!?!?!? A Brekke and a Thorsen can NOT be shipped!!!!!!!

Ok, I know you all think there is something very very wrong with me right now but let me explain my randomness. 'ISP' stands for 'Independent study project' and the reason why I am freaking out right now is because ITS SOOOO AWESOME. I LOVE ISPs. Basically, you get marked on your research skills and you can research on absolutely ANYTHING YOU WANT and then you can do a presentation on it ANYWAY YOU WANT which means that I shall get an A+ on this. It was assigned to us today and my teacher said the presentation can be AROUND HALF AN HOUR LONG. THAT'S SO SEXY. We have until May to do this so that's a really long time. Just think about it.... YOU in front of a whole class of children.... 30 minutes to change the way they think!!
